  1. Dr. Sabyasachi Chatterjee
    Dr. Sabyasachi Chatterjee was born in Kolkata and he got his Ph.D. in physics from the IISc. In 1985, he joined the Indian Institute of Astrophysics, Bangaluru as a faculty member and retired from service in 2014. In his researches in condensed matter physics, astrophysics and medical physics, Dr. Chatterjee has published 42 papers in referred scientific journals. He is interested in teaching and popularizing science. Dr. Chatterjee has authored two books and he is at present President of All India People’s Science Network.
  2. Dr. D Raghunandan
    D.Raghunandan is the founding Director of the Centre for Technology & Development, New Delhi, India, a non-profit independent research organization of over 36 years standing, with a focus on development and deployment of appropriate technologies for pro-poor rural enterprises and sustainable livelihoods. He also volunteers with the Delhi Science Forum (DSF), a non-profit think tank working on science and technology policy, and related studies, advocacy and public campaigns. In DSF, his areas of responsibility include environment and climate change, urban issues, public understanding of science, and defense especially aerospace. DSF is a founding member organization of the All India Peoples Science Network (AIPSN), a federating entity of over 40 like-minded organizations throughout India. Dr. Raghunandan has served as Secretary of DSF and President of AIPSN for several years.
  3. Dr. Prajwal Shashtri
    Dr. Prajval Shastri is an astrophysicist, formerly at the Indian Institute of Astrophysics, Bangaluru and specializes in the area of phenomenology of active galaxies driven by supermassive blackholes using multi-wavelength observations ranging from radio to X-ray wavelengths. Prof. Shastri grew up in Mangalore and after her schooling she completed her B.Sc. in Physical Sciences from St. Agnes College Mangalore (University of Mysore). She then went on to pursue M.Sc. in Physics from Indian Institute of Technology, Mumbai. She completed her Ph.D. from Tata Institute of Fundamental Research, India on the topic “Relativistic Beaming in Active Galactic Nuclei” in the year 1989. Prof. Shastri’s current research specialization is the phenomenon of Active Galactic Nuclei.
  4. Dr. Satyajit Rath
    Dr. Satyajit Rath is an immunologist working on generation and activation of T, B and antigen-presenting cells (APCs) of myeloid lineage. He did his M.B.B.S. from University of Pune, India and M.D. (Pathology) from University of Mumbai, India. His postdoctoral research was from Haffkine Institute, Mumbai, India; London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, London, UK; Brandeis University, Waltham, USA; Yale University School of Medicine, New Haven, USA. The focus of his ongoing research includes the physiological control of the generation and activation of T, B and antigen-presenting cells (APCs) of the myeloid lineage, examining APCs and pathways involved in antigen presentation to MHC class I and class II-restricted T cells, elucidating the unique roles that individual death pathways play at different stages of the development and functioning of T and B cells.
  5. Dr. Dinesh Abrol
    Dinesh Abrol researches on the issues of Science and Technology (S&T) Policy at the National Institute of Science, Technology and Development Studies, a constituent establishment of CSIR. His research contributions cover areas pertaining to the themes of intellectual property management, design of innovation systems, constructive technology assessment and S&T policy. He is engaged in the upgrading of rural technologies with the aim of contributing to the movement for sustainable development in India. He is also known for his work on the evaluation of TRIPS Agreement and is the co-convenor of National Working Group on Patent Laws.
  6. Dr. Vivek Monterio
    Dr. Vivek Monteiro worked on a number of science-related issues which have become important on the national agenda. He works as a principal advisor to Navnirmiti, a self-reliant social enterprise working for universalization of quality education for all. Navnirmiti has a special focus on math and science education. Navnirmiti makes continuous innovations in educational tools, toys, puzzles, hardware, software. It works for implementing the quality mandate of the Right to Education Act and the NCF 2005, of quality education ”for equality of outcomes”. He obtained his B. Sc. in Physics and Maths from the University of Bombay after his college in Xavier’s College, Bombay (1966-68) and Dhempe College, Goa (1964-66). He obtained his Ph.D. from the State University of New York in 1974 after his masters in physics from the California Institute of Technology (1968-70).
  7. Dr. Anita Rampal
    Professor Anita Rampal was the Dean, Faculty of Education, Delhi University. She is an EC member of the International Commission on Mathematics Instruction (ICMI). She was a Nehru Fellow, Director of the National Literacy Resource Centre at the National Academy of Administration, Mussoorie, and was involved with the National Curriculum Framework 2005 as well as the Chairperson of the NCERT Primary Textbook Development Teams. She has been a part of national policy advisory committees, educational initiatives of states, the Right to Education, the people’s science movement, National Literacy Campaigns, and the Hoshangabad Science Teaching Programme. She works in the areas of Policy Studies, Curriculum Studies, Education for Sustainable Development, Critical Mathematics Education, Science-Technology-Society Studies and Teacher Education.
  8. Dr. C. Ramakrishnan
    Dr. C. Ramakrishnan is a renowned educationist from Kerala. He is associated with Kerala Sastra Sahithya Parishad and All India Peoples Science Network for last 3 decades focusing the school education. He is presently advising the state government of Kerala related to the issues of school education.
  9. T. Gangadharan
    T. Gangadharan is former President of KSSP and former General Secretary of AIPSN. He is associated with the People’s Science Movements of India for last 3 decades. By profession, T. Gangadharan is retired School Principal.
  10. Dr. Kamala Menon
    Dr. Kamala Menon, ex-HoD of Science from Bhavans Varuna Vidyalaya and former Guest faculty at CUSAT and Brilliance tutorials, has been teaching and mentoring students for close to 3 decades. She is a Gold Medal winning Academician and ensures students are equipped with all the ammunition to face the boards – compact notes, sample papers, quick exam guides etc.
  11. Dr. T Sundararaman
    T. Sundararaman was the Global Coordinator of People’s Health Movement and former Executive Director of National Health Systems Resource Centre in New Delhi, a position he began in May 2007. He is also a Member Secretary of the Sector Innovation Council for the Health Sector. From 2002-07, he was Director of State Health Resource Center in Chhattisgarh where he provided technical guidance to launch a major community health worker program and strengthened its public health system. From 1999-02, he was a Professor of Internal Medicine at Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER) in Pondicherry. Dr. Sundararaman has written over fifty books, mainly on health issues, in both popular communication and public health texts. He has also written a number of articles that have been published in peer-reviewed journals. He earned his MBBS and MD in Internal Medicine from JIPMER.
  12. Dr. Kuldeep Singh Tanwar
    Dr Kuldeep Singh Tanwar is the president of Himachal Kisan Sabha. He is associated with All India Peoples Science Network for last 3 decades.
  13. Dr. Indranil Mukhopadhyay
    Dr. Indranil Mukhopadhyay is an Associate Professor and has a PhD in public health and health economics, M Phil in Public Health, and MA in Economics, all from the Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) in New Delhi. Dr. Indranil Mukhopadhyay teaches public health, health economics, comparative health systems, development economics, political economy and global health. He has fifteen years of research and teaching experience in health economics and health care financing. He continues to work on themes related to health systems, health economics and care financing, poverty, vector-borne diseases, National Health Accounts, impact evaluation of health programmes, access to medicines, inequalities, and health technology assessment. Previously he has worked as a research scientist and assistant professor at the Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI), New Delhi. At PHFI, he led the project on health accounts for six Indian states. He was a Welcome Trust Post-Doctoral Fellow (2015-17). He was a visiting faculty at Dr. B. R. Ambedkar University, Delhi, JNU, and Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai. He is a member of the World Health Organisation (WHO) Expert group of National Health Accounts in Asia and the Pacific Region. He has also led several research studies supported by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India; WHO, International Labour Organisation (ILO). He has several international and national publications. He is the co-editor of the Jindal Journal of Public Policy.
  14. Dr. Gargeya
    Dr. Gargeya is associated with Peoples Health Movement for the last decade. He worked at PHM on the subjects of Global Health Watch, International Public Health University and W.H.O watch programme. He also worked as programme officer for non-communicable diseases in National Health Mission of Hyderabad Area.
  15. N.B. Sarojini
    N.B. Sarojini has been working on women’s health and rights for many years and is the Director of Sama – Resource Group for Women and Health. She is involved in the coordination of a national level research on reproductive technologies and their implications on women. She has co-authored “Women’s Right to Health”, published by National Human Rights Commission, contributed to the Political Science Textbook for class 7 by the National Council of Educational Research and Training, and co-authored a book,Touch me, Touch me not: Women, Plants and Healing (1997). She is also the Joint Convenor of Jan Swasthya Abhiyan (People’s Health Movement – India), and the ex convenor of Medico Friend’s Circle.
  16. Dr. Vandana Prasad
    Dr Vandana Prasad (MBBS, MRCP-Ped, MPH) is a community pediatrician and public health professional who has been engaged with the social sector for over two decades. Her main experience and expertise is in the area of malnutrition and child rights and she has many publications on these issues to her credit. She is Founder Secretary, National Convenor and Technical Advisor for Public Health Resource Network (PHRN) with which she has been leading a model for community-based-management of malnutrition, titled ‘Action Against Malnutrition (AAM)’. She is also Joint Convenor of People’s Health Movement-India (Jan Swasthya Abhiyan) and a member of the Steering Committee of the Right to Food Campaign, she has served Government of India as Member (Child Health), National Commission for Protection of Child Rights.
